Native Plants and Photos

Take a hike at the Milford Experimental Forest and learn about native plants and photos with Heron’s Eye Co-Founder Sandy Long and Conservation Programs Manager, Amanda Subjin, of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy.

This native plants walk and photography workshop will be held on Saturday, May 11, from 9:00 am to noon. The Milford Experimental Forest is a 1,191-acre privately owned property in Pike County, PA.

Sign Up for the Hike

Participants will be guided through various forest types including a deer exclosure and demonstration chestnut planting. Amanda will identify and discuss native and invasive plants species while Sandy offers photography tips to enliven your exploration of the natural world.

The hike will traverse moderately steep terrain. Advance registration is required; reservations are $20 for non-members of Delaware Highlands Conservancy; $10 for members; and children under 12 are free. Refunds are not issued for cancelled reservations.
